Description

The N8UP2-1000PV40 is a reliable Type 2 surge protection device designed specifically for photovoltaic systems. Engineered to protect solar installations from transient overvoltages caused by switching events and indirect lightning strikes, it delivers a maximum discharge current of 40kA (8/20μs) and a nominal discharge current of 20kA, ensuring robust protection for PV arrays and inverters. With a maximum continuous operating voltage of 1000V DC and a voltage protection level of 4kV, it provides dependable safeguarding for DC-side equipment. Response time is ≤25ns between DC+ and DC−, and ≤100ns between DC+/DC− and PE. Featuring a 3P configuration (90×54×66mm), it mounts on a 35mm DIN rail and supports backup fuses up to 125A. The flame-retardant UL 94 V-0 housing and wide terminal compatibility (1.5–35mm² cables) ensure secure and versatile installation. Operates reliably from –40℃ to +85℃ at altitudes up to 5000m. IP20 rated for indoor use.
