N8UF2-40 Type 2 AC Surge Protection Device

Description

The N8UF2-40 is a high-performance Type 2 surge protection device, available in standard and NPE versions, engineered to protect electrical systems and critical equipment from transient overvoltages caused by switching events and indirect lightning strikes. The standard model delivers a powerful maximum discharge current of 40kA (8/20μs) , a nominal discharge current of 20kA, a low voltage protection level of 1.5kV, and an ultra-fast response time ≤25ns. The NPE variant adds a 12.5kA impulse discharge current (10/350μs) for enhanced protection between N–PE, with a response time ≤100ns. Available in 2P and 4P configurations, it mounts easily on a 35mm DIN rail and supports backup fuses up to 125A. The flame-retardant UL 94 V-0 housing and wide terminal compatibility (1.5–35mm² cables) ensure secure and flexible installation. Operates reliably from –40℃ to +85℃ and at altitudes up to 5000m. IP20 rated for indoor use.
